InnoScot Health’s Communications and Engagement team is delighted to have won the title of ‘In-House PR Team of the Year’ category at a prestigious awards ceremony held in Edinburgh last night (9 November)

The five-person team was named a gold award winner at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards – which took place at the Sheraton Grand hotel – ahead of fellow nominees Edinburgh City Council and Wheatley Group.

CIPR judges said the InnoScot Health submission was “a clear, well thought out and detailed entry showcasing the work of the team.

“It's clear the work of this team has helped build the InnoScot Health brand, and the campaign demonstrated a strong analytical approach towards developing a campaign strategy.”

The submission focused on the team’s strategic role in delivering a reinvigorated, modern identity to mark the formal NHS partner’s 20th anniversary, including a complete rebrand, in tandem with a new website and engagement channels.

All were launched simultaneously at the 2022 NHS Scotland event – the largest healthcare event in the country.

InnoScot Health’s Executive Chair Graham Watson said: “We are delighted to have won such a noted award which serves to underline our organisation’s ethos of delivering excellent results for ourselves, for our NHS Scotland partners, and increasingly for other healthcare clients.

“Thanks to our uniquely deep well of relevant expertise and experience, our small team is able to punch well above its weight, and this award is another exemplifier of that.

“We are grateful to CIPR for recognising those consistently progressive, inclusive efforts and our ability to amplify them with demonstrable results, making our services invaluable in accelerating NHS-led innovation.”

Head of Communications and Engagement, Fiona Fleming said: “I’m incredibly proud of this award presented by the world’s only chartered PR body – it’s a genuine honour.

“It is not only a huge validation of our communications impact and acknowledgment that we continue to move in the right direction – but also endorsement of InnoScot Health’s ability to reach out effectively to the collaborative-minded healthcare innovators of tomorrow.

“Our highly committed team continues to strive for more success, and works ever harder to break down barriers for the forward-thinkers to get their ideas heard, while supporting and delivering the innovation that NHS Scotland needs at this pivotal time of transformation and acceleration for patient benefit.”

The PRide awards “celebrate the incredible work delivered in vibrant PR communities.”
